Will the European Commission make a difference?

The Trio Presidency said YES, the European Parliament said YES and now the question is:

Will the European Commission
make a difference
in the lives of all families in Europe
by designating
2014 as the European Year
for Reconciling Work and Family Life ?

    If I was the Commission, I’d approve!!
    Our youth surveys show again and again, how utterly important this reconciliation is for the satisfaction in life and for the prospects people see in their job and the community they live in.

  2. This domain shows, at EU level, that there are very important diffferences between women and men in the division of time spent on care. In order to transform the lives of both women and men it is crucial to start addressing policies to gender equality in terms of division of time and sharing familiy care.
