A special issue of the Journal of Family and Economic Issues is devoted to the most important task of spouses at home in reconciling work and family life — that is, caring for children and other family members.
Editors welcome papers using the family context to analyze how relevant variables such as education, unemployment, state of health, biological factors, and/or the existence of dependents in the home can influence the decisions of the members of the family with respect to the allocation of available time and monetary resources. They encourage submission of manuscripts devoted to the study of different aspects of family care, employing a variety of economic methodologies, including theoretical frameworks, empirical and experimental methods.
Papers should be submitted by 31 December: More information here
