This campaign for COFACE is a journey, and we haven’t reached our destination yet!

As you know, this year we were very much focused on the advocacy campaign to have 2014 designated as the European Year for Reconciling Work and Family Life. Even though it is the 19th December, up until today we still haven’t received any direct answer from the European Commission about our campaign.

This can however not overshadow our sense of achievement of the past two years of campaigning, as it is now more than ever obvious, that finding ways to balancing work and family responsibilities is one, if not the top priority for many families, as well as for employers and society in general.

This campaign for COFACE is a journey, and we haven’t reached our destination yet, however we have met so many interested and involved people, organisations, employers along the way, and this campaign opened so many doors and offered so many opportunities for learning and exchange for us, for our issues and for the families in Europe, that we are not regretting one minute of it.

2014 promises to be a very exciting year full of great projects and events, and we hope to see many of you at the many events we will be organising. In the meantime…

Xmas

Dear Coface-Team, you are great and we appreciate your efforts!! Strange commission, dropping the European Year and disregarding this great initiative. We were among the fortunate to meet you through your initiative and give you both thumbs up! Please continue with your work and hey, you have friends in Germany 🙂 Best, Simon
